Substitute Plan
8:55 - 9:25: MORNING WORK
Let the students in to the class and settle. They should know that they need to fill out the Google Form as an entrace ticket. Go over the student jobs and the class objectives for the day.
9:25 - 10:55: READING
Let the students pick a short book from the classroom library. Walk around and help students with vocabulary and if they are having a hard time. Have them fill out worksheet #1- the stack should be on the desk.
11:00 - 11:35: RECESS
Check who the line leader is and they will lead you to the field. Stay with them and watch over. Bring them back to class after recess is finished, and have them settle down.
11:45 - 12:45: MATH
Have the students open up their jamboard. They should take the number on the white board to use in their daily number activity. Aftet they finish and it is checked, they may gave free time.
12:45 - 1:30 WRITING
If the students, didnt finish wirting their book report from the beginning of the day, have them finish that. Make sure it is colored and they turn it in the right bin. After they finish, they can go to the classroom library to pick and read another book for free reading.
1:30 - 2:00 LUNCH
Same line leader in the front. Have them walk to the cafeteria and walk the home lunch students to the table. When everyone is finished you may go back to class. Meet them at the field to pick them up 5 minutes before the bell rings.
2:00 - 2:35 SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE
We have been focusing on ethnicity and geography. Students pre-filled this survey. Open up the link and ask the students to share about each place their family comes from.
2:40: 3:25 ARTS
Since winter is coming up, they will work on an activity that deal with technology and creating their own work. Have the students open up their Google drawings and work on their snowman building. Once done, have them pair share with a partner.
3:25 - 3:55 DISMISSAL
Make sure everyone checks their student jobs and completes them. 2 minutes before the bell rings, have them line up. Walk them to drop off the after school students, walk to the bus stop, and then go to the pick-up.
