About Me

I am a reader, writer, and lover of WORDS! I believe words are what challenge us, drive us, and inspire us.

I graduated from Temple with a BA in English/Secondary Education. Prior to working at Queen of Angels, I worked in many fields that required strong communication and leadership skills. As an educator, I worked in a remedial learning center for two years, assisting students ranging from grades K-12 with a variety of learning styles and abilities. In 2015, I began my career at Queen of Angels School, originally teaching 7th and 8th grade ELA/Religion.

I have been teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA for two years now. I am SO fortunate to have the opportunity to further explore a subject that I truly love and am passionate about every single day. In my class, the focuses are always critical thinking, forming opinions, individual expression, and WRITING!

Besides teaching, I also am the Student Council Moderator and a coach for the Girls on the Run program at our school. My free time is limited; I work part-time as a Case Worker for an adoption agency, meeting families who wish to pursue adoption. I love it and feel blessed to work in two fields where I get to better the life of God's children.

My students know that the things I love most include: my husband, my dog, my family, reading, the shore, my hometown Glenside, hearing and telling stories, Harry Potter, America, history, "The Office", Forrest Gump, the Flyers, and traveling :-)
