On the 20th of April the Directors Branch Committee of POED, the Pedagogical Institute and POED organized the Pancyprian Conference for Directors of Primary Education at the venue of the central buildings of POED in Aglantzia, Nicosia. The Minister of Education, Mr Costas Hambiaouris was present and made the openings of the conference. Speakers from Israel, Europe and Cyprus presented their subjects.

MSIV C&P was in charge of the sound and audiovisual needs of the conference; we also supported S.Synergiamedia Ltd that provided Simultaneous Interpretations System for Greek and English.

Archbishop Makarios III Foundation - Cultural Center

On February 28th, a special event took place at the Cultural Centre for the New Entries at the National Catalog of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

The Byzantine Museum and the National Committee of Byzantine Studies, successfully managed to enter the Byzantine Chanting as part of this catalog in 2017.

The event presented all the entries for the UNESCO Catalog, awarded the groups or individuals that applied for this catalog and at the end, there was an artistic program by two byzantine choirs.

Archbishop Makarios III Foundation - Byzantine Museum

On the 24th of January the closing ceremony of the exhibition "Maniera Cypria" took place at the Byzantine Museum in Nicosia.

Many distinguished guests and speakers were present at the ceremony.

MSIV C&P was in charge of sound and audiovisual needs of this event.

Pancyprian Association of Artillery Reserves - Memorial Service

For a fifth, consecutive year, the annual memorial service for the fallen during the Turkish invasion of 1974, is organised by the Pancyprian Association of Artillery Reserves, at the Artillery Memorial for the Fallen and Missing Persons, in Nicosia (next to Agia Varvara chapel, in Aglantzia, Nicosia). The service takes place every July, on the 20th.

The Minister of Defence, the Head of Armed Forces of the Rep of Cyprus, representatives from Church of Cyprus and other officials, along with relatives of the Fallen and Missing persons who attend this service.

MSIV C&P is in charge of the PA system for the memorial service and speeches; background music is played before and after the service, a special selection of music for the occasion.

Panhellenic Conference by POED and DOE

The Pancyprian Organization of Greek Teachers(POED) and the Teachers Federation of Greece (DOE), after a six years break have brought back the mutual organization of a Panhellenic Conference.

The conference took place in the Events Venue, of POED’s central offices in Nicosia on April 19th and 20th. The subject of the conference was “The education in the years of crisis - the impacts of the economic crisis in Education”

Greetings were addressed by the president of POED Mr Filios Fylaktou, the president of DOE Mr Thanassis Kikinis, the president of OLME Mrs Eleni Zografaki, the president of OELMEK Mr Dimitris Taliadoros, the president of OLTEK Mr Michalis Tsiarlistos and the Greek Ambassador Mr Elias Fotopoulos. The opening of the conference was declared by the Deputy Director of Secondary Education Mr Christos Hadjiathanasiou, on behalf of the Minister of Education.

Archbishop Makarios III Foundation - Cultural Center

On the 28th of March 2017, at the Cultural Center of the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation the National Anniversaries of the 25th March of 1821 and April 1st of 1955 were celebrated. The main speaker of the event was the Minister of Foreighn Affairs of Greece, Mr Nicos Kotzias. Salutations were presented by The President of Republic of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades and the Archbishop of Cyprus Church, Chrysostomos II.

The artistic program of the event was presented by the choir “Adouloti Keryneia’ under the artistic direction of Mrs Nelli Loucaidou.

Archbishop Makarios III Foundation - Cultural Center

On the 19th of January His Excellency President of the Hellenic Republic Mr Prokopis Pavlopoulos, His Excellency President of Rep. of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades were invited by Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, to be present at the special event to commemorate the completion of 40 years after the death of Archbishop Makarios III. President Pavlopoulos was the main speaker of the event.

After the special event President Pavlopoulos and Archbishop Chrysostomos II proceeded with the opening of the exhibition “Maniera Cypria” The orthodox art in Cyprus passed through many difficulties, managed to maintain an authentic character, cypriot in origin thus the title of the exhibition”Maniera Cypria”. The exhibition was presented in the Byzantine Museum in Nicosia within the festivities of PAFOS 2017 as a cultural city.

POED - Sound, light and audiovisual services

MSIV C&P has been offering sound, light and audiovisual services at the Event venue of the new POED building since September 2016.

The venue has a state of the art sound system with an FBT line array speaker system, controlled by a MIDAS M32 console, ceiling speakers and various inputs throughout the room controlled by PEAVEY DSP system, along with a CRESTRON controller of sound, lights and all the projectors.

PC theatre lights and led fixtures complete almost all the needs of the venue.

Costas G. Georgallis Music House Ltd was in charge of the installation; a basic training was performed by the technicians/installers thus giving us the opportunity to make the most of all these equipment.

MSIV C&P successfully meets all the needs of the Organization, its sub-committees and all the all the meetings / events planned and performed there by the various teaching Groups (PADED, PROODEFTIKI, AKIDA, DIANA). We have done many types of events; from seminars to music events with high success. Other organizations and groups - that do not belong in POED (such as Insurance companies, Political Parties, Municipalities and Individuals) used the venue in POED Building and we have successfully met all their needs.

POED - Opening ceremony for the new building

On June 1st, 2016 the opening of the new Offices of POED (Pancyprian Organization of Greek Teachers) took place, by the President of Rep. of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades, in the presence of Archbishop Chrysostomos II and the Minister of Education, Dr. Costas Kadis.

On August 4th, 1965 opened the offices in Makarios III Ave. in Nicosia. Ever since, there was dream for offices and a building thah could accommodate all the needs of the teaching world. After almost 30 years, in 2012, this dream came true with the built of the new buildings in Kerynias Ave in Aglantzia, Nicosia. The new buildings were finished in 2015, with offices, meeting rooms, library - archive rooms, multi-event venue for various events, restaurant and other facilities.

MSIV C&P was part of the team, with S.Synergiamedia Ltd for the opening ceremony. That included sound in the venue, sound distribution to TV channels and other lighting and audiovisual needs.

Cyprus Tango Meeting

After the successul technical support and administration of the 1st Cyprus Tango Meeting in October 2014, MSIV C&S with the support and help of our associate S.Synergiamedia Ltd we successfully finished the 2nd Cyprus Tango Meeting from 30th of October till 1st of November in Grecian Park Hotel in Ayia Napa. A challenging setup that required the Main milonga event staged in a different place than the other two, for bigger space, different atmosphere. Although it was a challenge with some technical limitations, we have succeeded to give the best possible result in terms of sound and lighting.

New additions - new upgrades in our gear

We have recently upgraded our gear by purchasing a new digital console for our needs, the MIDAS M32R. This console will give us the chance to support more small size groups, with more efficiency and more options. Along with the stage rack we can easily setup small bands and have all the necessary control.

Alongside, we have a new FOH small speaker system; two FBT X-Pro 12a Active speakers producing more than 1000W which are more than enough for small venues and limited audience.

We have also upgraded our microphone section with some vocal and percussions mics by Beyerdynamic.

MSIV Consultant & Producer - 10 years behind Cyprus Salsa Congress

For 10 consecutive years MSIV Consultant & Producer has been in charge of the planning, setting up and operating the sound and lights within the venue for the Cyprus Salsa Congress to operate.

Along with our esteem partners, S. Synergiamedia Ltd, who supply the equipment, we have been close collaboration with the organizers and the Grecian Park Hotel, Ayia Napa, in order to give the best possible technical support.

From the 1st Congress, we have setup the sound for the teaching rooms, operating all the equipment making sure that everything runs smoothly. Special sounds systems were brought in the years to come for the Shows venue and the outdoor parties.

Additionally as needs changed, we planned with the technicians and light engineers the lights in the shows venue, the parties venue.

So far we have successfully managed to keep all things running up, with our special help from the rest of the crew (technicians, engineers); also with the great support and help of the staff at the Grecian Park Hotel thus giving the best result to our client, Cyprus Salsa Congress.

The National Anniversaries of the 25th March of 1821 and April 1st of 1955 were celebrated on 27th of March; the event was organized by the Cultural Center of the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation.

Presidency of the EU - Cyprus @ Filoxenia Conference Center

S. Synergiamedia Ltd and Coneq Ltd have been appointed to be the two companies to administrate and run all the conference, interpretation and audiovisual equipment at the Filoxenia Conference Centre, in Nicosia; within the period of the Cyprus Presidency of the EU, in the second half of 2012.

Setup and operation of various events - sometimes on a daily basis- was a routine; with participants from 50 to 500 and with interpretation languages from 1 to 24, it was one of the most challenging tasks in the field.

Alexandros Zographos was part of this team, the most time of this period. The daily challenges were a valuable lesson, gained experience and worked with a vast of equipment - from Bosch conference & interpretation systems, to projectors & tv units, to public audiovisual system, recording devices etc

Services at the Cultural Center - Archbishop Makarios III Foundation

MSIV Consultant & Producer has been working with the Foundation since 2011. As a part of the good business we have examined the place, cosnulted the Foundation and, at the end, provided, setup and adjusted a new and more appropriate sound system at the Cultural Center.

During these last years, we have been almost the primary technical sound & audiovisual team for most of the events taking place in the Cultural Center. These include various conferences, presentations, music events and exhibitions and have been fully completed with success.

By working closely with the organizers we provide whatever they need whether the Cultural Center provides the equipment or not. Our perspective and goal is to satisfy the customer's needs in technical equipment but always in and with respect to the uniqueness of the venue itself.
