A message for everyone
A message for everyone
To whoever will be reading this final blog, it has been an honor being your head of media for the past year from 2022-2023. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities this CCA has provided for me and that it has given me a chance to grow and improve on. To my squadmates, we no doubt had a rough start with covid and we were by no means the best NP unit out there, but we made it through the hard times and thats what counts. We laughed together, complained together, suffered together but at the end of the day, it was worth it. To my sec 3s, while you guys may barely know me and I barely know yall, I do hope that you guys will improve on what mistakes we have done and bring this CCA back to its former glor. It will be a tough crawl all the way back up but it has to start somewhere. Just because you guys are now the seniors does not mean you can slack off now. You guys still have someways to go in your leadership journey. To my sec 2s, you guys are next in line to take over this CCA. Do take whatever opportunities that the teachers provide you and make the most of it. You may not like how this CCA is now or feel that training is too tough for you guys but if we don't make the best of what we got, then whats the point? And to my sec 1s. I have been with you guys since you joined this CCA. Regardless of what everyone else says or how demotivated you guys feel after being scolded, I just want to say I am proud to be your CL and I have no regrets taking on this role. Watching you guys go from newbies who were relatively cold to each other to now a bonded squad has been amazing and very fulfilling. You guys have a long way to go as a squad in terms of drills, standards and whatnot but as long as you guys keep on encouraging each other and make the best use of whatever you have, I believe you can outshine us all. Watch out for your shoelaces btw ;) . And finally to whichever Sir or TOs whom are reading this, I would like to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for all the effort you have put into this CCA and in guiding us to be leaders. Yes we were not the best but you guys never gave up hope on us. I am extremely thankful for the TOs for being understanding whenever I got sick due to a weak immune system. I am also thankful for the CIs in training us. When you scolded us and pumped us, while I harbored resentments in the past, I realised it was all for our own good. I would like to thank Sir Samuel for this one incident. I was exhausted that CCA but I managed to push through. While I was resting, Sir Samuel approached me and past me a bottle of ice lemon tea. That one action changed my entire perspective on this CCA and I am ever gratful for that. To Sir Ray and Sir Melman who was with us throughout our entire leadership journey, you have helped me grow as a person and develop resilience. and standards. For that, I thank you guys once again.
