Hello Parents, Guardians, & Students!!! My name is Karla Henderson and I'll be your 8th Pre-AP/Reg Reading teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am a proud graduate of "The Best HBCU In The World"......PRAIRIE VIEW A&M UNIVERSITY!!! I recieved my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in 4-8 English Language Arts & Reading. This will be my 3rd year teaching in CVISD and 6th year as a teacher. Throughout my teaching years, I have taught 6th-8th grade Reading, AVID, and ESL.

I am OVER THE HILL EXCITED to meet each and every one of you this year. Despite the circumstances of the new year, I know that this year will be an amazing and successful for our class. I'm committed and passionate about teaching the neccessary tools for both academics & life. My goal is to work hand in hand with both parents and students to ensure that they reach their highest potential academically, emotionally, and mentally.
