Welcome to Fifth Grade!
Hi! My name is Meredith Haynie. I am so excited and ready to start a new year at Midway as your child's fifth grade teacher. I graduated from Lander University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and earned my Masters from Liberty University in Professional Counseling. This will be my 18th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, reading intervention, and middle school math. I absolutely love teaching and couldn't imagine doing anything else!
I have three children, two are at Midway with me and one is at Glenview. My son, Gray, will be in the seventh grade, my daughter, Wells, will be in the fifth grade, and my youngest daughter, Courtland, will be in the third grade. In my free time, I love to spend time with friends and family, go to the lake, and I LOVE to shop! I’m so thankful to be a teacher at Midway and I can’t wait to meet each one of you!
