For this project, 5th grade student artists explored art making tools that they had available in their remote learning spaces. They were encouraged to find alternative art making supplies and tools. Students explored composition, contour lines and observational drawing while creating their artworks.

For this project 5th and 6th grade student artists designed their own virtual lockers, exploring beginning digital art skills such as editing images, layering and composition while also including objects and images that expressed their interests, hobbies and passions.

In this project, 6th grade student artists really strengthened their shading skills! After choosing a subject and creating a contour drawing of their objects, they shattered it into several pieces. In each section student tried to create a full range of values using either pencil or colored pencil.
