My current and future work focuses on decision-support systems that help communities, agencies, and industries align decarbonization with sustainable land management, forest resilience, environmental quality, and regional economic development.
Research and career themes:
· Circular bioeconomy and low-carbon fuels: renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, biochar, and bioproducts from forest, agricultural, and urban residues.
· Climate-resilient landscapes: biomass utilization as a strategy to support forest health, hazardous-fuel reduction, wildfire-risk mitigation, and rural economic resilience.
· Geospatial decision support: GIS, MCDA, feedstock logistics, facility siting, land suitability, and transportation analysis for bioenergy and environmental planning.
· Carbon accounting and policy analysis: LCA, TEA, carbon removal, avoided emissions, social/environmental justice co-benefits, and policy-credit frameworks.
· Teaching, extension, and workforce development: applied case studies, technical training, student mentoring, stakeholder workshops, and accessible science communication.
I am seeking opportunities in faculty, Cooperative Extension, national laboratory, research scientist, and applied environmental analysis roles where I can contribute to climate-resilient bioeconomy development, geospatial decision support, LCA/TEA, carbon accounting, and stakeholder-centered environmental solutions.
