Positions available

Physics Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University is one of the most active research centers on theoretical physics in Turkey with about ten multi-discipline faculty members. The interests of our members cover a broad range of research areas in high energy physics, cosmology, condensed matter physics and mathematical physics. It is also one of the top places in Turkey providing excellent graduate education in theoretical physics. Every year we invite numerous international researchers to give lectures, seminars and to collaborate with our group members.

Master and PhD positions

We are interested in recruiting new master students in both Mathematics and Physics and PhD students in Physics. Prospective candidates can send us (ilmar (at) msgsu.edu.tr) an email with CV and motivation letter. Interested local students are cordially invited to attend our group seminars or one of the courses.

Postdoctoral and visiting positions

There are several choices for those interested in postdoctoral or visiting positions at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts.

For international researchers:

There is a postdoctoral fellowship program 2216 - Research Fellowship Programme for International Researchers, which is supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
The TÜBİTAK also has a short-term visiting program Fellowships for Visiting Scientists and Scientists on Sabbatical Leave (1-12 months). For this application, you need to contact a host researcher. Please contact me if you are interested in choosing me as a host researcher.
TWAS offers fellowships to young scientists in developing countries to enable them to spend three to 12 months at a research institution in a developing country (also in Turkey).
