Video Broadcasting

The 5th grade class is excited to present the ThunderNews to the elementary community at Denver Christian School. The ThunderNews is a student-led video news broadcast which will air weekly. Each broadcast will highlight school events, special reminders, and will feature the amazing academic and social activities happening around our school. Students will lead a variety of segments including: in-depth interviews, weather forecasting, the upcoming lunch menu, video recaps, prayer, and pledge.

During their weekly technology special 5th grade students are learning hands-on multi-media production. This includes the techniques of script writing, audio and video recording, on-camera presenting, and behind-the-scenes direction. More importantly through this process students are developing valuable life skills like personal responsibility, professionalism, presenting the perspectives of others, managing deadlines, striving for excellence, and initiating meaningful communication with their peers and adults.
