Special Olympics of NJ

Our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

NASC is a life changing, volunteer-driven nonprofit that creates weekly, multi-sport programs for children and young adults with disabilities

We provide community and support for all of our members. For our elite athletes, we train, qualify them and compete, providing all the required equipment and resources at no cost.

Somerset County Therapeutic Recreation

The Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Department is dedicated to providing year round recreation and leisure opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. The goal of the TR Department is to promote an active leisure lifestyle that improves social, physical, cognitive and emotional functioning while enhancing each person's abilities in order for them to become integrated into their community.
