Sekin Fisherman Village & Resort was inspired by Dato' Jamal Md Yunos, the owner of the resort. He had chosen an area that suited his desired theme and he surveyed a relatively large area around the fishing village of Sekinchan, Selangor. The distance between the area and the city of Kuala Lumpur is about an hour and thirty minutes away. The resort was fully opened in mid-2013 and has 71 cubicles. This resort also provides several types of room including Standard, Deluxe, Standard King, Family Room, Triple Suite, Family Suite, Deluxe King, and Malaysia Deluxe.
