Hello and welcome to Ms. Craig's Classroom! My name is Ms. Craig, and I am so excited to begin my first year of teaching. I graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. I also earned a minor in Psychology, which has helped me better understand how students learn, grow, and develop both academically and personally. This is my first year teaching, and I am thrilled to begin my journey as a math teacher.
During my time at NC State, I was a member of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program and the Transformational Scholars Program. These experiences strengthened my passion for education and prepared me to become a dedicated, reflective educator. They emphasized the importance of building meaningful relationships with students, creating an inclusive learning environment, and serving communities across North Carolina. As someone who is originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to return to Eastern North Carolina and invest in the region that helped shape me. I am excited to support my students, collaborate with families, and make a positive impact in our community.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics by creating a classroom where everyone feels supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. I believe that every student is capable of success, and I strive to make math engaging, meaningful, and connected to the real world. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and partnering with families to make this a successful and rewarding school year. Thank you for visiting our classroom website, I can't wait for an amazing year together!
