Ms. Biggerstaff

Welcome!

I am thrilled to meet all of my new students and families and can't wait to learn new things together!

I am originally from Lubbock, Texas, but have lived in Denton for 25 years.  I enjoy visiting National Parks with my family and native plant gardening.  

This will be my 8th year teaching at Pecan Creek. All of my children attended Pecan Creek and had great experiences!  One of my favorite things is reading chapterbooks to the class.  This year we will read Stone Fox, Because of Winn Dixie, Dyamonde Daniel, Charlotte's Webb and The Absent Author. 

My husband and I have 3 children, and we also had a first grand baby born last summer!  My youngest is a Senior at UT Tyler, my son works in the cattle business in the Texas panhandle, and my eldest daughter, son-in-law and grandbaby live in DFW.

We also have a pound pup, named Jamie.  We had her Doggy DNA done and she is Great Pyrenees, Catahoula Leoopard Dog.

I earned a BFA in dance at SMU, an MA at Florida State, and completed a Post Baccalaureate in Education at UNT.
