Maru Sarazola

Hi! I'm Maru, an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota.

Between 2021-2023, I was a J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University, working with Emily Riehl. In May 2021 I received my PhD from Cornell University; my advisor was Inna Zakharevich. Before coming to Cornell, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay.

Some things I'm currently interested in are homotopy theory, category theory,  and algebraic K-theory.

I'm also organizing a knitting circle at UMN; everyone is welcome to stop by! Please email me if you have any questions. (Awesome poster by Melanie Lex)

Here is my cv.
