The first media I sought out was the image. I found it through Creative Commons where I typed cat into the search bar. It is under a CC BY-SA 2.0 license. This license allows others to adapt and share the image. Credit has to be given, the license updated and linked when it comes to CC BY-SA 2.0 license.

I found this animation by searching free animation gif into my search engine. I browse LottieFiles till I found a gif I liked. It is under Lottie Simple License (FL 9.13.21). This means that it is free to use and distribute as long as no change is made to the file or license. Credit does not have to be given but is encouraged.

How I found this sample was selecting SoundCloud in Creative Commons and searching folk. I clicked on one that seemed to be interesting and decided that I liked it. Sound Cloud has a Grant Of License in its terms of agreement. It allows for a "limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid up, license to other users of the Platform." However Sound Cloud is not allowed to grant access to any third parties.

I was struggling to find a video when I remembered my favorite podcast is under a Creative Commons License. I first double checked what exactly the license was. Then I search for the first episode on YouTube. Using the embed function was an easy way of adding the video to the site. Rusty Quill does a few things in its license. The list of those are that appropriate credit must be given, there must be a link to the license, do not claim they endorse your work, the work must also have the same Creative Commons license, no commercial use, and cannot apply any new legal terms.

Lesson Learned: The big lesson I learned is what a Creative Commons License is as I had always heard it said in my favorite podcast but didn't know anything more. I also learned how to embed text which I hadn't done before.
