The Mathematics Student Association ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MSA mobile application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users while providing a high-fidelity educational environment. This policy explains how we handle your data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic of the Philippines).

2. DATA WE COLLECT

We collect only the information necessary to provide a personalized learning experience:

Identity Data: Full Name and Email Address (stored securely via Google Firebase Authentication).

Academic Progress: Quiz scores, learning path completion, earned badges, and daily study streaks.

Device Data: Technical logs provided by Firebase Crashlytics to ensure platform stability.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Your data is used exclusively for scholarly purposes:

To track and display your individual progress and rank.

To award badges and medals based on mathematical mastery.

To allow MSA Administrators to manage curriculum access and student verification.

Note: We do not sell or share student data with third-party advertisers.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We utilize Google Firebase for cloud infrastructure:

Firebase Auth: Securely manages your login credentials.

Firebase Realtime Database: Stores your academic progress using anonymized unique identifiers (UIDs).

Firebase Remote Config: Delivers real-time curriculum updates.

5. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active to preserve your academic history.

Student Right to Deletion: Students may request permanent account deletion directly through the Profile page in the app. Once processed by an Admin, all scores, badges, and identity records are permanently purged from our servers.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

MSA mobile app is designed for students. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's digital activities. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the implicit consent of their educational institution or guardians.
