Q. What is the best way to contact you?
A. My email is rachelstuddard08@gmail.com
My phone number is 501-XXX-XXXX (Please do not use unless an emergency)
Q. Can I bring cupcakes or treats for my child's birthday?
A. You absolutely can! Just make sure that you bring enough for everyone and be aware that we may have students with peanut allergies. Food must be store-bought.
Q. What is your policy on misbehaving?
A. My classroom has a 3-strike policy. Strike one is a warning, strike two is a letter sent home or a phone call to parents, and strike 3 is a trip to the principal's office.
Q. How much homework will be assigned throughout the year?
A. I am a firm believer of practice makes perfect. I want your children to have the best learning experience possible and part of that means sending some homework home. I can assure you that it is not enough to overwhelm your child, but a couple assignments a week is to be expected.
Q. What time does school start and end?
A. School starts promptly at 8:00am and ends at 3:15pm.
Q. How many absences is my child allowed?
A. The school's policy is that there can be 3 absences every 9-weeks, and 6 of them must be excused.
Q. Can we donate supplies to the classroom?
A. Absolutely! I will provide a list of supplies that would be greatly appreciated if some parents would like to donate.
Q. What are some ways to keep track of my child's progress?
A. I will have a running spreadsheet with grades, so if you would like to see that before report cards are sent out, feel free to contact me and I will send it to you. I will also send back graded assignments so that you can directly look at them. We will have something called "Author's Tea" where students will be reading some poems that they wrote. All parents are encouraged to come.
Q. What is the school's address?
A. 2701 Salem Road, Benton, AR 72019
Q. How many students are in the class?
A. I have 29 kids in my class this year.
