My Career

The 2020-2021 school year marks my 15th year as an educator. I have spent all 15 of those years here at SMS as a social studies teacher. My favorite events throughout the years have been Spirit Weeks, 8th grade formals, and spending time with my teacher crew.

Some highlights of my career include:

• Being named Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year

• Coaching cheerleading for 7 years

• Serving as social studies department chair for 4 years

• Serving as yearbook advisor for 5 years

• Coaching volleyball for 5 years
