Easy ways to support your child in math:
Practice skip counting- the songs we listen to in class are posted in Schoology!
Show them math in real world contexts such as estimating the total at the grocery store or using fractions in the kitchen.
Encourage them to take risks, try new things, and ask questions!
Although I do not assign math homework, if there is a time where your child is having to correct an assignment at home or maybe you want to go over their graded math work with them, this is a helpful link on how to do so.
The best way to support your child in reading is to read with them, to them, or have them read independently. Your child should be reading daily! This shouldn't be forced and it should be something they want to read. They have access to their library books, Book Flix, and Mackin VIA. They should know how to access all of the online options, but please reach out if you have any questions! I will be sending home optional reading bingo pages each month to try and keep them engaged in reading at home.
