Reading together each day is a great way to build vocabulary and comprehension.
Take it a step further: Ask your child questions about the story and encourage them to retell it in their own words.
Practice identifying letters and the sounds they make throughout your day.
Math is everywhere! Count everyday objects, look for shapes and numbers, and practice sorting or comparing objects around your home.
Help strengthen those little hands through coloring, drawing, cutting, puzzles, and building.
Take it a step further: Give your child opportunities to create, build, experiment, and explore.
Here is a glimpse into birthdays in our Kindergarten classroom.
Meet Sprinkles!
Sprinkles is our birthday friend who gets to spend the day with your child on their special day! Your child will also receive a special birthday crown and a little birthday surprise from me.
Families are welcome to send in a birthday bag on their child’s birthday. During our birthday celebration, your child will have the opportunity to share a few things that are special to them or something they received for their birthday with our class! 🎉
More information about birthday celebrations will be shared as we get closer to your child’s special day!
