Tuesday (4/23)- Adam Sandler Day, wear your baggiest clothes!! (Sophomore and JV Baseball @ Legacy)

Wednesday (4/24)- Jersey Day, wear a jersey from a team you love!! (Peach Fuzz volleyball game after school with free BBQ)

Thursday (4/25)- Aquatic vs. Patriotic, dress in your beachwear or USA gear!! (Girls Soccer @ Broomfield)

Friday (4/26)- Anything but a backpack, carry your school items in something creative!! (Free ice cream on the way out of school)


Homecoming Week!

Monday (9/25)- "Catch a Flight Monday" Cozy wear for an early morning flight. Powder Puff football game tonight at 6pm! We will be cleaning up after the game to raise money for Positive PE field trips this year, please join if you can! (This generally takes about 30 minutes after the game ends)

Tuesday (9/26)- "Tacky Tourist Tuesday"

Wednesday (9/27)- "Wild West vs. West Coast"

Thursday (9/28)- "Travel to Greece" Wear Legacy gear, seniors wear your togas!! The Homecoming football game will be at 7:00pm at the 5 Star Stadium (behind Mountain Range HS). We will have para support at the game for students who would like to attend and families are welcome too of course! Hope to see you there!

Friday (9/29- "First Class Friday" Strictly Business/ what you would wear on a first class flight!

Saturday (9/30)- Homecoming Dance 8-11pm at Legacy!!! You do NOT need to purchase tickets to this event for students in SSN. In Legacy tradition, we will be holding a formal dinner in the SSN classroom at 7:00pm prior to the dance for those who would like to come- the dance begins at 8:00pm. After dinner we will walk up to the dance together, students will have para support until 10pm.

Don't Miss Our Ice Cream Social!

What: Ice cream party at the park, including all current students and alumni of the program, SSN staff, and families (we love siblings!). 

When: Sunday, August 6th from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

Where: Broadlands West Park, 5101 Meadow Mountain Dr, Broomfield, CO 80023. Broadlands West is located on Meadow Mountain Road just south of 144th Avenue on Sheridan Boulevard.

What to bring: Ice cream will be provided, please bring any sidewalk chalk, yard games, or other outdoor fun you would like! Broadlands West includes a shaded shelter space and tables, baseball field, soccer field, and playground.

Fall Giving Drive

Hello all! It's time for our annual Fall Giving Drive! We need lots of items to help support Broomfield families during this Thanksgiving and upcoming holiday season. Students will be collecting food and personal care items in their first hour classes. Please follow the link below for more details about this event. We appreciate you! Weekly Update 10/24/22

Monday 10/24- All student in the SSN program are invited to join their friends in Positive PE for a field trip at the Denver Zoo! If you have not sent your child's field trip release form back to school please sign and have your student give the form to Ms. Bri as soon as possible. Legacy students will be attending the zoo free of charge, please plan to bring a sack lunch, snacks, and water- we will eat together at zoo before returning to school in the afternoon. Student drop off and pick up times on Monday 10/24 will be on a regular schedule- students will leave campus for the field trip at approximately 9:30 am and return by 2:30 pm. The field trip will not affect normal bus drop off or pick up times. This trip will be supported by teachers, paraprofessionals. and an administrator. 

Wednesday 10/26- NO SCHOOL

Saturday 10/29- Trick-or-Treat Street from 4-7 pm at Legacy. This is a great event put on by Legacy Clubs and Athletics. The entire school will be decorated for a Halloween celebration and all neighborhood families are welcome to come trick-or-treat through the halls. Be careful going downstairs though, the lower floor of the school transforms into a spooky haunted house!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated food, drinks, and decorations to make Legacy Homecoming extra special!!! CONGRATULATIONS to our Bridges Club for creating the winning Homecoming poster, we celebrated with a fantastic pizza party!

Homecoming Dance Details

SSN staff will provide supervision and support for all SSN student who would like to participate in the Homecoming Dance (Saturday 10/8). The SSN team will host a formal dinner and photo op prior to the dance as well! We would love to see you there!

Homecoming Dinner 

What: The SSN staff will be hosting a formal dinner prior to the dance. 

Who: All SSN students are welcome to join us! We would love to have family members stay for all the pictures, but dinner and the dance will remain student-only events. 

Where: Legacy High School, A102 (Ms. Bri's room).

When: Saturday, October 8, 7:00 pm. 

Homecoming Dance

Theme: Home Sweet Homecoming- Candy Land!

Tickets: Tickets are FREE for SSN students. We will stop by the ticket window next week to get a ticket for any students who would like to attend. 

Who: All students in the SSN program are welcome to join us, if your student has other plans for dinner they are still able to meet us at the dance :)

Where: Legacy High School, Large Gym. Student will enter through the west doors for the dance- if your student chooses to join us for dinner, we will walk up to the dance together. Please plan to pick your student up after the event at the west doors of the school. 

When: Saturday, October 8, 8:00-11:00 pm **Please note that staff support for SSN students ends at 10:00 pm.

Spirit Week Details

Monday (10/3): USA themed! Wear your red, white, and blue!! Paint senior parking spaces after school :)

Tuesday (10/4): Career Day! Dress for your current job or the career you plan to have after graduation! 

Wednesday (10/5): Nerds vs. Athletes! **Powder Puff Football Game @ North Stadium 6-8 pm, we will be cleaning up for about 30 minutes after the game to raise money for our fall field trip to the Denver Zoo on 10/24!! All Positive PE students are welcome to help with the clean up efforts.

Thursday (10/6): Dynamic Duos Day! (Ex. PB&J, Batman and Robin, Barbie and Ken). Pick a friend and become a duo!

Friday (10/7): Legacy School Spirit Day! Seniors wear your TOGA! If you're not a senior, grab your favorite Legacy gear :) Pep Rally in the afternoon! Homecoming Football Game @ North Stadium beginning at 7pm.

Back to School Night

*We have changed our format for Back to School Night. We will have an open house with opportunities to learn about all that Legacy has to offer. Additionally, we will run an abbreviated bell schedule, which will provide an opportunity to visit with teachers. This event is intended for parents and guardians.

Take a self-guided tour of Legacy. There will be some student and staff helpers throughout the building to help answer questions. Visit department and club tables, learn how to access IC, apply for lunch benefits, to name a few opportunities and take self-guided tours of school. 


Grab some dinner or a treat from the Food Trucks. Elevation 5280 Smokehouse BBQ - offering smoked wings, brisket, chicken fingers. Lucky Mary’s Baking and Sweets Company - offering ice cream, funnel cakes, cupcakes.

5:30-6:00 9th Grade High School Transition Presentation. Meet with the Legacy Administration team and learn about the transition to High School. New to Legacy? Please join us to learn more about our school.


6:05-7:30 Mini bell schedule to meet teachers. We will follow an abbreviated bell schedule. Please remember to bring your student’s schedule with you. This is an opportunity to meet teachers and learn about your student’s classes.

Fun in A102: We have a pep assembly this Thursday during period 3! Congratulations to all of our students who competed at the Special Olympics Bocce Ball State Tournament in Colorado Spring, CO this weekend!
