What is your favorite memory of 7th Grade?
Dear Seventh Grader,
Just starting off, I’m not kissing up or anything like that. I'm just saying the truth and things you'll need to know if you want to make it past 7th grade. Now that that’s out of the way I’ll begin
Mr. Yordy is the best all-around teacher you will ever have. I know everyone says this to get their letter over faster but I’m being serious. He might seem rude and too serious at first and you most likely won’t understand it when you’re reading this at the beginning of the year but by the end you’ll probably fully understand if Mr. Yordy has succeeded in his goal. He teaches maturity and how to act in the real world. He will treat you as responsible adults, not children so he will expect you to act like one. If you have made an attempt by the end of the year all of you will have changed for the better
Do not talk in the hallways and just behave yourself. You’ll end up having much more fun as a class if you learn to be under control. A separate word of advice I can give to you is for you to not procrastinate and do the projects little bits at a time as they’re handed out. I know you probably rolled your eyes at that or think I’m sounding like a parent but it’s the truth. It is horrible doing a big project the night before, I speak from experience.
Mr. Yordy will also be one of the most fun, if not the most fun teacher you will ever have in your middle school days. You’ll act, play games, sing, and most importantly learn to joke about yourself and not be afraid to have a little fun. There are little surprises he does every week that will make your 7th Grade an all-around more enjoyable experience, and if you get a question wrong don’t feel bad about it.
In conclusion, don’t act up and this will be your favorite year of school you’ve had. You will learn to appreciate it in the end of the year.
