Dear Students,
I want to talk to you about our classroom behaviour and how we can improve our listening and focusing skills.
To help us all stay on track, we will be using ClassDojo to manage behaviour in real-time. Here’s how it will work:
Positive Points: You can earn positive points for good behavior, such as giving a correct answer, demonstrating something well on the board, or making good progress in a lesson. Every 3 positive points on ClassDojo will earn you a MERIT on iSAMS.
Negative Points: Negative points will be given for disruptions like chatting during the lesson, shouting out, or doing other things on your PC. Every 3 negative points on ClassDojo will result in a WARNING on iSAMS.
Additionally, we will be introducing a few new rules to help maintain a focused and respectful classroom environment:
Raise your hand if you want to speak.
Raise your hand when I raise my hand to signal that you are quiet and ready to listen.
No shouting out or chatting during explanations.
Stay on task and avoid doing other things on your PC during lessons.
These changes are important because I need your full attention to teach effectively, and I want everyone to have the opportunity to follow and understand the lessons. I don't mind questions at all, as long as you raise your hand first.
Let's work together to create a positive and productive learning environment. Thank you for your cooperation!
Best regards,
Mr Wahagn
