Dr. Villarreal is a national award-winner educator who teaches Spanish at Freehold Township High School & also a Spanish Adjunct Professor at Monmouth University. Dr. Villarreal was born and raised in Callao, Peru.
Previously, Dr. Villarreal taught Spanish and ESL at an urban school in Central Jersey. He has utilized his experiences working with different types of demographics and educational needs to serve students better. Dr. Villarreal has presented at state and national conferences, have published multiple articles and chapter books related to his work and the needs of students and he is in the works of editing a book called: "Hispanic Scholar Perspectives on Education & Wellbeing" being released in early 2025.
Advocacy is a center of Dr. Villarreal's philosophy as all his research, work, community service, mentorship, and leadership are towards serving the students and their families needs. From creating after-school programs to leading different projects, Dr. Villarreal believes working with the community is critical for the student's success.
