Executive Team

Lauren Oishi is a fourth year environmental science student who enjoys camping, visiting the West Coast, and watching Modern Family. Past summer experiences include raising fish at an aquaponics startup, working as a research assistant on a project regarding how governance affects environmentalism in industry, and serving as a National Service Excellence Assistant at AGAT Labs. Lauren joined MRU CPANS in 2019, and is responsible for acting as a liaison between the chapter and potential speakers, overseeing events, and delegation of responsibilities to the executive team.

Cole is a third-year student in the environmental sciences program who has a passion for the preservation of our natural water ways and aquatic environments. He is a very active person involved in many outdoor activities such as backcountry camping, hiking, trail-running, and sports like hockey and skateboarding. Since spring 2020 he was, and still is, working with Parks Canada within their aquatics department. His experience this past summer included in-field work on the cascade creek restoration project and Johnson lake for the whirling disease control, and more recently, the aquatic invasive species research. He joined CPANS as a member in 2019 and is now acting Vice chair.

Kaitlynn is a first year environmetnal science student. she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, looking at nature, and rock climbing. She has a passion for the natural world and learning more about how it works and how to help protect it. Kaitlynn is excited for her upcoming years as an environmetnal science major and all the new skills and experiences she'll gain along the way.
