Francesco is an electrical/biomedical engineer, with a PhD in Biophysics (magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)). He is currently a research group leader at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel and senior researcher at the University Hospital of Basel (Switzerland).
He is passionate about Free Software and Open Science and is a member of the Governing Committee of the Reproducible Research Study Group of ISMRM.
Dr. Ashley Harris obtained her PhD from the University of Calgary in Biomedical Engineering and then completed post-doctoral fellowships at Cardiff University and Johns Hopkins University. She has since returned to the University of Calgary and is an Associate Professor in Radiology. Dr. Harris develops and applies magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) to understand the brain. She works with both MRS and edited-MRS methods for research in clinical populations as well as development/aging. She is interested in development, aging and various clinical conditions including paediatric migraine, brain injury and concussion, developmental disorders and chronic pain.
Dr. Ipek Özdemir is the director of the MR Research Division of Machine Learning and is an instructor in Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, and Radiological Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Kay Igwe is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, where she focuses on AI in imaging and spectroscopy. She is currently one of the elected leaders of the MRS Code and Data Sharing Committee. She also serves as one of the team leads for the AI in MRS group.
John LaMaster is a PhD candidate focusing on deep learning dynamics, developing DL techniques for analyzing MR spectroscopy, and simulating in vivo-like synthetic MRS data. He is one of the co-organizers of the MRS Synthetic Data Working Group which is leading the effort on the community-wide manuscript on “What’s Been Done in Synthetic Data”.
Julian is a PhD candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands. He is working on machine learning applications for MRS. He also serves as one of the team leads for the AI in MRS group.
