The Tailypo: A Ghost Story

The Tailypo is a famous piece of campfire folklore that was told out loud for generations in the North Carolina mountains. Long ago, early mountain settlers lived in lonely log cabins deep in the woods where winter storms made it very hard to find food. So, a story about a desperate old man and a mysterious forest creature felt very real to them. By listening to this story, we are stepping into history and practicing the exact same storytelling tradition that local families used to pass the time and share a fun scare from over a hundred years ago!
