Hello! I’m Mrs. Tobia, and I am beginning my 22nd year as an art educator. Throughout my career, I have taught artists of all ages, from kindergarten through adults. I currently teach Gifted & Talented Visual Arts, where I love helping students discover their artistic voice, take creative risks, think independently, and push their ideas beyond what they thought they could do.

My husband and I are raising our two daughters here in Colonia, and they attend school at Claremont. Our family is very involved in the community, so there’s a good chance you’ll see me around town, at school events, sports, activities, or cheering on our kids!

Art is a huge part of my life both in and out of school. I am almost always making something—painting, designing, experimenting with new materials and technology, or coming up with my next creative project.

After more than two decades of teaching, I still love that art never gets boring. There is always something new to explore, create, and learn.

Most importantly, I want every student who enters my classroom to know that there is no single “right” way to be an artist. Creativity is about finding your own way to see, think, and create. 🎨
