Standards Based Grading

Our district follows a Standards Based Grading (SBG) system. Essentially, instead of the traditional percentage based systems that configure your child's grade by calculating the average of their scores on assessments, SBG assesses your child against a standard of the curriculum to better convey the growth of your child's academic understanding in a given area. 

In each subject there are standards or expectations of what your child should learn. SBG allows you to see how your child is progressing in those expectations.
