Welcome to another year of middle school. I am so excited to be in my 6th year at Langston, and cannot wait to work with all of my students this year. While middle school can be challenging at times, I know that each student has the ability to shine, and I cannot wait to watch them do so.
Grading & Late Work Policy
Assignments are scored using a points-based system and are categorized as either major or minor assignments. Major assignments include tests, essays, and large projects. Minor assignments include classwork, quizzes, quick checks, etc.
Late assignments will be accepted, but students will receive a reduction of 10% points per day late on their final earned score (i.e. a 30-point assignment will have 3 points deducted for each day late).
Assignments will not be accepted more than 5 days late.
Missing work will be scored as a zero (0) until makeup work is submitted and scored.
It is the responsibility of the student to make up work. If assignments are completed online and submitted late, the student must notify the teacher via Teams Chat or email that they have submitted late or missing work. (This would be assignments submitted via Teams, Quizizz, CommonLit, etc.)
