A Little About Me

This will be my 9th year teaching at Live Oak, and I am thrilled to be a part of a stellar community of staff, students, and families. I am passionate about learning, and about teaching. Children inspire me! My goal is to foster curiosity, creativity, and the love of learning with children, while supporting their skills to become independent thinkers.

I was born in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Canada, and later moved to Montreal, Quebec. I attended the University of Western Ontario, where I received a BSC in Pharmacology. I obtained my teaching credential in California. My family and I have lived in the Bay Area since 1997.

This is my family. From left to right: Alexander (25), Katrina (20), me, Paul, Philip (26). We LOVE backpacking and exploring the outdoors together! This picture was taken at Hetch-Hetchy reservoir 2 years ago.

This is my dog, Bear, and me. I take her out hiking all the time! The students will hear stories about her frequently!

I love gardening! Last year I installed 2 planter boxes outside Room E2. Together, students grew and harvested several vegetables, fruits, and herbs!
