My name is Amy Nicholson, and I am excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1992 with my undergraduate degree in education and again in 1996 with my Master’s degree. In 2012, I graduated from Piedmont College with my Education Specialist’s degree. Teaching and learning are very important parts of my life! Kindergarten is my favorite grade, because our students make such AMAZING growth over one short school year!
My husband Clancy and I have 2 boys- Connor and Blake. Both of our boys attend Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Go Gamecocks!! Our family loves to watch the Atlanta Falcons play football in the fall. We are also Florida State fans- which lead to the name of our newest family member-Bowden. He is a labradoodle which means he is full of energy and mischief! I love to tell you all about his adventures going to college with the boys and show pictures of him growing up.
In the spring and summer, we like to be outside and love going to the lake and the pool. We also love to travel! Our family has seen many different places in the United States and visited several countries. We often end up places with a beach because we love the ocean!
I am looking forward to working with your child this year and getting to know all about your family too!
