I am so happy to serve the students of Phillips Elementary School through my role as Local Reading Specialist. In simple terms, I am the reading coach. I count it a great joy to work closely with k-3 teachers to help our students grow as readers. I firmly believe that parents are their child's first and greatest teachers. I love joining them on this journey.
About Me
I graduated from Phillips in 2000. I attended NorthWest Shoals, Athens State University, and University of West Alabama. I have been teaching for 16 years. I love it! I am married to Chris and we have two daughters. Anna is a 9th grader and Sara is a 5th grader. We have a dog named Ella. In our spare time, we love to travel and do mission work with our church. I enjoy singing and reading.
