Counselor for the Class of 2025

Hi there!

My name is Kristy Meyers. This is my 11th year at Mingus Union High School, and I love serving as a School Counselor for this beautiful community. In light of all the work we have been doing to reach students online and virtually, I created this additional resource to add value to the information already available on the Mingus Union High School Counseling website and on our Facebook page. 

I have created Checklists that will help students plan for their future. I have also provided lessons in a number of ways, including a variety of Loom videos that have been shown in Advisory classes and other creative venues. One of the things I am most excited about is collecting resources for a little more "calm" in your life! Find these resources in the Virtual Wellness Room. If you have other resources you think would be beneficial to supporting students and instilling some calm in the midst of the chaos of today... I'd welcome your feedback!

When I am not in my Counseling role, I love photography, movies, running, and hanging with my husband, son, and dog Penny. But what I love most is helping empower those around me to be their best selves!

Some other fun facts about Mrs. Meyers:

• I have traveled to 14 different countries!

• My favorite animals are the giraffe, quokka, and dinosaur

• I am originally from St. Paul, Minnesota

• I LOVE the TV show FRIENDS!
