Welcome to my Counselor's Corner

My name is Mrs. Ma and I am your Elementary School Counselor at Castle Rock and Vejar Elementary.

Let me introduce myself a little bit so you'll get to know me a little better. . I have been in education for 15 years, and I love it! I have a great family, my mom who looks very young, my handy and loving husband, two wonderful sons, and a silky terrier Miso.

I love travelling, something I tend to do every Summer. I also love trying out new things, eating new food, going to new places, and meeting new people.

Oh, and I am a great listener!

During a typical school year I work with students by providing whole classroom lessons, targeted group counseling, lunch bunch for which everyone is welcome during lunch, individual counseling as well as collaborating with teachers, staff, parents, and community members.

This school year has been very new and challenging for all of us. As we navigate this new world of distance learning my hope is to continue to provide resources and content that can help your student with their social emotional development and wellness.
