About Mrs. Martin

Hello Kindergarten families! My name is Jaimee Martin and I am so excited to spend this year with you all. I grew up in the Omaha area and graduated from Ralston High School. I attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6).

I have a wonderful husband named Bret, and together we have three sons, Cooper (10), Crue (8), and Cade (5). They also attend Gretna Public Schools and we have loved living here! Since graduating, I have continued my passion for teaching alongside staying home to raise my boys. I have spent my time as an online ESL tutor, a virtual reading coach, and a substitute teacher. I recently completed a long-term substitute position in first grade at Gretna Public Schools and loved every moment!

My teaching philosophy is that in order to inspire learning, one must be a lifelong learner themselves.  It is my goal to continue learning as an educator and expand my knowledge so that I may maximize all students' potentials. There is nothing more exciting then empowering young minds and witnessing their growth!

I enjoy spending time with my family, cuddling my cats, reading, and crafting. My family and I enjoy traveling, especially to Disney! During the spring and summer time, you can more than likely find me at the ballfields. My older boys recently started competitive ball and we are enjoying the baseball life!

I can't wait for a wonderful year!
