Skips and Dip

Some of these skipping songs and games (or jump-rope songs) are ones I played when I was a girl in a small school in the country. We would skip together every recess, and would race outside to be the first one jumping to turn the rope (it was a very important job). Some of the skipping rhymes come from a great reference book I often refer back to: Anna Banana 101 Jump-Rope Rhymes by Joanna Cole.

If there are any jump-rope or skipping rhymes you used to play on the playground, please share it with me. I would love to include some of them on my page.
