On Fridays, our All-Star of the Week will have the opportunity to teach a 15-minute science experiment/lesson to the class! In order for this to be most effective, students should prepare carefully and rehearse their presentation at home. Parents may assist in the preparation, but students must teach the class on their own. Students may borrow 2-3 science experiment books from our classroom to help in their selection. If desired, they may include a power point or handout for the class, but this is NOT required. (On a short week, the super scientist will demonstrate their experiment on Thursday.)
Treats are welcome. Remember, all treats need to be purchased from the store. Since our instructional time is limited, I ask that students bring treats that can be distributed easily without much mess. Treats are usually distributed at the end of the day as students are leaving to go home. We have 30 students in our class. Birthdays that fall during the school year will be celebrated on or as close to the actual day as possible. Summer birthdays will be celebrated on the student’s “half birthday."
