About Me

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with all of you this school year.  My name is Mrs. Lauren Langman.  It’s hard for me to believe that this will be my 19th year teaching chemistry at Montour High School.  I love science and being able to show all of my students how they interact with chemistry each and every day.  Some of my background includes obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry along with secondary education certification from Saint Francis University in 2008.  I also earned my Master’s degree in education from Gannon University in 2011. Additionally, I have worked at the Carnegie Science Center for over 10 years in the theaters department, working sleepovers, and teaching summer camps.  It is one of my favorite places to be! 

When I am not at school I enjoy reading, shopping, crafting, and playing with my 2 boys.  Derek is 8 and Tyler is 6.  Both of my boys play baseball so we spend a lot of time at the ball field.  We also love to build Legos, watch baseball, swim, and play games together.
