What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is copying someone else’s work or claiming someone else's ideas as your own. Examples of plagiarism in the classroom are copying off of another student's work in class, copying something online and claiming it is your own work, and pretending someone else's idea is your own. To avoid plagiarizing, it is important to list any sources that you use for projects and assignments. If you have any questions on what your teacher considers as plagiarism, you should always ask before turning in an assignment. In Mrs. Landreth's class, all students must complete their own work in class and online.
