I am excited to be your child's teacher! I have been teaching for 25 years. One of my teaching philosophies is that children learn best in an environment where they feel supported, confident, and secure. Each day, I will strive to create a successful and positive experience for your child. I believe in challenging my students to think critically and become problem solvers. In the classroom, our differences and unique qualities are celebrated and we respect everyone. One of our class mottos is "Believe in yourself and dream big!" I will do my best to make sure your child reaches their full potential.

I live in Santee with my husband, Kirk, and our two amazing children Katie and Brandon. Katie graduated from PLNU two years ago and is starting student teaching in La Mesa. She is also newly engaged! Brandon is a junior at SDSU where he's majoring in computer science with a focus in cyber security.

We are proud to have called Santee our home for many years. Our family enjoys being outdoors together hiking, biking, or just hanging out at the beach. In my spare time, I love cooking, a quiet morning in my backyard with a cup of coffee, and a good book. We also share our home with our crazy, but oh so loved, Catahoula Leopard dog Murphy Flynn. We also have a five pound Yorkshire terrier named Ellie who thinks she is a Rottweiler. She has stolen our hearts too!
