About the Teacher

My name is Bryan Seybert and I am a National Board Certified Chemistry Teacher (Science, Adolescence and Young Adulthood) at South Fayette High School in McDonald, PA. I earned my B.S. in Chemistry and my M.S.Ed. in Secondary Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and have been teaching chemistry for 10 years. Additionally, I am a Google Certified IT Support Specialist. I am the sponsor of our school's Science Bowl team and I currently serve as a faculty representative to the South Fayette Foundation of Excellence.

I enjoy keeping my classes rigorous and challenging while at the same time making learning fun for my students. Resilience and personal responsibility are two "soft skills" that I work with my students to develop throughout the school year. My teaching is influenced by both essentialist teaching principles and activities that foster student-centered scientific inquiry.
