My name is Mrs. Dixon. This is my 11th year teaching, and my 8th year teaching first grade at Sunset Valley. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I love teaching first grade because I love watching my boys and girls learn to read.  Before I taught first grade, I was a long term substitute and was also Reading Specialist Intern. I graduated from Pitt with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education/Reading Specialist Certification. I am both a Google and Apple Certified Educator.  I live in Irwin with my husband, my daughter Elle (she will be 5 months on our first day of school!), my dog Annie, and cats Wilson and Bubba (you will hear about them a lot!). When I'm not teaching, I LOVE to exercise! I am a Coach for Sunset Valley's Girls on the Run Team. I also love to read, travel, and shop!
