Hi!!
My name is Mrs. C. Martinez and I have been teaching for 15 years!! I love what I do and strive to learn more to help all my students. I graduated from what was known as University of Texas at Brownsville with a bachelor's of Education in the field of Early Childhood to 4th grade. I also achieved a Master's of Educational Technology in 2012. I taught kindergarten for 6 years, 4th grade for 1 year and this will be my 9th year in 3rd grade. I have taught Math in 3rd grade for 9 years and let me tell you that every year is different. Now more than ever, teaching Math will be a challenge but with your positive minds we will master the objectives that is required from the state.

A little bit more about me is that I am the oldest of all my grandparents grandchildren and the oldest of my siblings. I was the first to achieve a Bachelor's degree and also the only one to have Master's degree. I was born in Harlingen, Texas and was a migrant worker for my childhood years. I really don't remember much from then but there are pictures to prove that I was working in the fields with my parents.

I recently celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary with my husband and have three boys. One is in college now, one is at Hanna Early College and my youngest just started middle school. They are my pride and joy! You will probably hear them when we meet in our virtual class because they too need to attend classes at the same time as I will be teaching you.
