Hello Parents and Students! It was so nice meeting those of you who came to pick up your materials this week. In order to make the start of our remote learning school year as smooth as possible, I need you to complete the following 6 things before the first day of school (Aug. 18th). Thank you!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Choi and it is so nice to meet all of you. I look forward to being your teacher this year and I know that even though things are a little different now, we are going to have a wonderful time.

You MUST make sure your student email is activated and you have created a new password. Otherwise, you will not be able to access your assignments and our Zoom meetings.
Click on 'Student'.
Click on 'Activate your account or reset your password
Click the box next to 'I agree...' and click on the 'Accept' button.
Enter your District ID, birthdate, and Student PIN (all this info is on the paper I gave you when you picked up your materials.)
Create a password.

You MUST have a parent portal account in order to see your child's grades and assignments.

This will make it easy for you to get updates about your child's grades, work, and attendance. Go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and search "Lausd Parent Portal" to find the app. It's just called 'LAUSD'.

This is where your child will go every day to get to our Zoom Meetings and to work on assignments. Click on 'Student' and use your LAUSD email address and password to log in. **You must complete Step 1 above first.**
Click on 'Students'.
Enter your LAUSD Email and Password. Make sure that you have already activated your email (Step 1).

This is the app that I will use to communicate with you throughout the school year. If your child lives in two different households, please make sure that both parents have this app.
