Meet the Teacher

I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade at CIS this year! It's so nice to now be teaching at my home district where I grew up and currently live.  This is my 11th year teaching - I spent 9 years at Sherman Elementary teaching 2nd grade before coming to CIS!  I graduated in 2014 from Benedictine University in Springfield with a Bachelor in Arts degree in Elementary Education. In 2020, I graduated from Western Illinois University with a Master of Science in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I enjoy finding methods of teaching that best reach the needs of individual students, aiding in their growth, and helping them reach their greatest potential. I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that allows for growth, movement, and connection.
