Ikumi Boyd

My name is Ikumi Boyd. I'm from Osaka, Japan, and moved to the US when I was in Elementary School. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and worked as a 5th and 3rd grade Japanese dual language teacher in Illinois for the past 10 years. I have a master's degree in Principal Preparation as well. 

My husband, my son, Kaito, and I just moved to Greenville from Chicago this summer! We are big into the outdoors; hiking, scuba diving, camping, biking, lakes, beaches, you name it! So, we are super excited to explore all that Greenville has to offer! I look forward to getting to know everyone in the Gateway community, and kick off the school year together!
