I am super excited that all of the children are doing so well, making friends and learning together! They continue to learn and play in school at their own rates, and we continue to work with them to make progress in all areas! March is proving to be a busy month! Our Curriculum has our focus on Animals, as well as a variety of other themes. We will be very busy, and will work hard every day to continue learning.
A few reminders:
*Please be sure to dress your child for play! This includes comfortable clothes and shoes ready for active play. The playground will be open for us soon, with weather improving!
*Most days, you will continue to receive a simple report which is a summary of your childs day. This includes overall behavior - using a happy/sad face. If your child receives a sad face, I will write a note to indicate why. It will also include a cheaklist style of things we did that day.
For new families that have just joined my class, please join the Remind app if you have not already. You should have recieved a print out of how to do so! The instructions will be provided to you either at the initial IEP meeting, or on the first day of school in your child's folder. Be mindful that I do not check the App always throughout the day. If you need me to know something time senstive, such as your child is being picked up by a parent, so no bus, please either put a short not in your child's folder, or call the office who will let me know.
Finally, I try my best to be on top of communication. Please know that if you send me an email, I usually respond the same day. If not then most definitely by the following day. I look forward to working with you all, and seeing your children make progress throughout the year.
