Here are a few general questions students should be able to answer after learning about the development of the United States this year:
•History-do you understand what happened in the past and why it affects us today?
•Geography-how did location affect the way the US developed? How were and what were territories that were added?
•Economics-how did the US grow into a wealthy nation? How did trade develop and affect the development of the US?
•Government-how did/do the people participate in government and how did/does it function? How has the government changed over time and why?
•Culture-how do the people function in their society? How does religion play a part in our history? What were different jobs in the US and the social structure? How did writing and art contribute to the US?
